I have been in private practice in New York City for over 30 years. I work with individuals, couples, and parents who seek therapy for problems in living. My practice reflects the diversity, which is part of the fabric of the New York metropolitan area. I enjoy working with people of different ages, backgrounds, cultures and stages of life.

I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can be heard and understood while struggling with the stresses and challenges that life brings. I see each person as unique with their own set of problems, patterns in living, and circumstances. I individualize the therapy for each person or couple to reflect this.

Therapy is a collaborative process. We talk about the difficulties in living, arrive at increased understanding and creative solutions, which enable you to make changes in your life, gain confidence, feel more satisfaction, fulfillment, develop successful relationships, and build a good foundation for living and managing your life.

My areas of specialization include anxiety, depression, work difficulties, relationship problems, bereavement, alcohol and marijuana addiction, and parenting concerns. I have extensive experience in marital and couples therapy and special interest in working with parents of young adults and young children. I have given workshops and run parenting groups for over 20 years, which focus on the parenting of infants and young children.

I am a Supervisor, Training Analyst, Advisor for Analytic Candidates and a member of the Training Committee at the National Institute for the Psychotherapies (NIP). A Supervisor and Training Analyst at the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy. A member of the National Association of Social Workers.
